We provide all outfits and props for the session. However, if you have a sentimental item or memorabilia that you would like included in the session please do not hesitate to bring with you. If you do have an outfit, it will photograph best if it fits perfectly.

06. DO WE NEED TO PROVIDE OUTFITS OR PROPS?

My fellow c-section mamas, don’t worry, if your session day comes and you still aren’t feeling your best I have a daybed with your name on it. Lay back and relax or while I do adorable things with your baby or take that nap you so deserve.

05. WHAT IS THE BEST TIME OF DAY TO PHOTOGRAPH NEWBORNS?

Newborns are best to photograph during an early morning time. Newborn sessions are scheduled to start between 7:00am-9:00am. Babies are usually sleepiest in the morning and last about 3-4 hours. We will do 2-3 blankets and 1-2 props.

04. I HAD A C-SECTION, HOW FAR OUT CAN I SCHEDULE?

Yes! If maternity and newborn session is booked together receive 25% off the maternity session. If you book a grow with coco collection receive a full maternity session complimentary with 3 complimentary digital images.

03. SHOULD MATERNITY and NEWBORN be booked TOGETHER?

I always suggest booking your newborn session during your pregnancy. Since newborn sessions take place within 5-14 days of birth, the sooner I can get your due date on the calendar the better.  This way when baby is born your are guaranteed a date.

02. MAY PARENTS AND SIBLINGS participate?

Yes, we can do a few family and sibling poses. Outside of taking photos, during the session parents will only be asked for assistance for feedings if nursing. I will be holding your baby the entire time to soothe to sleep for posing.

To book, inquire through the contact page. Once contacted, you'll receive an email to setup your phone consultation I will answer any questions. After, you'll sign the contract and pay the retainer which will put your due date on the calandar.

09. HOW DO I BOOK MY NEWBORN SESSION?

We like for newborns to fall asleep within the first 15-20 minutes. If your baby is awake and calm enough to swaddle we will proceed as normal. If the baby is fussy and cannot be soothed we will offer a complimentary re-shoot. 

08.MY BABY IS NOW OLDER THAN 14 DAYS, CAN I STILL BOOK?

Of course! If a date is available you can still book. If baby is older than 14 days we will still attempt sleepy poses if baby is still sleeping well. However, if they are not and will not sleep we will photograph the baby swaddled/wrapped for most of the session.

At CoCo Inspirations Photography newborn sessions are near and dear to our heart. All newborn sessions take place in our home studio in Clayton, NC. All babies are photographed within the first 5-14 days of birth, so it is very important to contact CoCo Inspirations Photography during your pregnancy. Newborns over 14 days are more aware and can find it harder to fall into a deep sleep to allow for posing. Scheduling after 14 days is still doable but what is captured will depend on how well baby will sleep. Contacting CoCo Inspirations Photography and booking your session before you give birth will put your due date on our calendar and guarantee a spot for your baby. During the session parents are free to relax, take a break, catch up on emails, or even take a nap. We will handle and care for the baby the entire time of the session.
